Joseph Saito

I am a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of California San Diego working with Timothy F. Brady. I completed my graduate training at the University of Toronto working with Keisuke Fukuda (2024), and I earned my B.A. working with Benjamin J. Levy at the University of San Francisco (2016).

My work implements psychophysical & computational methods to characterize adaptive memory control in humans. In particular, my work focuses on how observers predict and shape their memories by combining cognitive control with a hierarchy of knowledge about visual structure.

Outside the lab, I am probably watching (or yelling at) my favorite Bay Area sports team, hitting the gym, or trying the newest trendy restaurant in my area.
